My name is Carloline Heaviland, I graduated from New England School of Acupuncture in 1979 and have been apprenticed with Ted Kaptchuk, author of "The web that has no weaver", one of the first books in English on acupuncture. I practiced with him for a couple of years, and moved to California, to complete a 3 year tutorial with Miriam Lee, Master Acupuncturist.
I became licensed in California in 1987 and worked in private practice in San Jose area for 15 years. During 1997 through 1999, I worked as an acupuncturist in the Pain Management Clinic and at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara.
I moved to Costa Rica in 2002 and opened my own clinic in Huacas. I have now expanded my business and am offering my services in Tamarindo at the Fisiospot.
